Tiago Carrapiço

I have decided to become a veterinarian after spending some time with a family friend who was a farm animal vet… his job simply fascinated me! And, of course, I also loved animals!

I work in Algarve as a veterinarian since 2002, the year I graduated in Veterinary Medicine at Évora University.

My passion, besides internal medicine, is veterinary dermatology. I was one of the Portuguese Veterinary Dermatology Society (SPDEV) founders and, amongst other courses, I have completed in 2007, at ESAVS (European Scholl of Advanced Veterinary Studies) in Vienna, a three-year Veterinary Dermatology post-graduation.

Nowadays I am veterinary dermatology consultant and responsible by dermatology referral appointments at BVET.

Every day I give my best to solve each animal problem – I am focused in being objective and professional to be well succeeded, but I never forget to try to understand each owner and its particular relation with the pet as an important part of my work.

I enjoy spending my free time with my family – my wife, my two children and my cat – and with friends. I am a cooking art lover and I also enjoy traveling a lot.
